Ms. Malik is currently working as Programme Coordinator at IUCN - International Union for Conservation of Nature; leading organization working on conservation of nature in Pakistan and globally. Ms. Malik is based in Country Office Karachi since January 2014.

She has worked as the Executive Director for Human Resource Development Network (HRDN), a network of Human Resource Development professionals and organizations in Pakistan and abroad (www.hrdn.net). She worked with HRDN for 4 years from October 2009 to December 2013 and brought a lot of innovative dimensions to the network. Before that she worked as a Project Coordinator, Farm Forestry Support Project (FFSP) with Intercooperation (IC)for 4 years (2005 - 2009). She has worked as Program Manager, Women's Empowerment Program for Peace (WEPP)for Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Pakistan, that focused on social awareness about women issues and building institutional capacity of most vulnerable rural women of Pakistan. She has also worked as a consultant for different organizations on baseline studies, project evaluations and trainings, team building of organizational teams. She has also worked as Project Officer Agriculture for CRS Pakistan. She was a Social Survey Officer for Halcrow Rural Management in the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team. She has undertaken the M&E of an on-farm water management project, to improve the standards of living and agricultural yields of small holders by improving irrigation agronomy, water efficiency and availability. During her first career assignment she worked as a Social Organizer with the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) and as a Participatory Rural Appraisal Specialist with ADB on the Marala Ravi Link Canal Improving Project.

Ms. Malik holds a Masters degree in Forestry with specialization in social forestry from Peshawar University and a Masters degree in Botany from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. She is the member of a number of professional networks including Human Resource Development Network (HRDN) and Asian Study Group (ASG) Islamabad.

Ms. Malik has taken a number of interesting and creative initiatives during her career. She has good analytical skills and has experience in assessments, evaluations and documentation. Her interests include Photography, travelling, reading and creativity. Her first passion is Pakistan and all her efforts are directed towards the betterment of Pakistan with sincere efforts. She has travelled throughout Pakistan to learn about the great potential, culture and natural beauty of the country which is indicative of her patriotism.
