Ms. Batool is presently working as an Assistant Professor at SBKW University Quetta and is an Environmental Biologist/Applied Ecologist. She is a regular faculty member of the Environment Department in Sardar Bahadur Khan (SBK) Women University of Balochistan, Quetta. Previously she worked with the development agency SCAMB, in Quetta and contributed in its participatory development projects. Her work is mostly related to participatory rural and urban development, research for need assessment, planning, environmental teaching and training and general management aspects of multi-disciplinary integrated projects.

Huma has been involved in conducting training programs regarding climate change and its impact on women of Balochistan specifically, presentation skills, Education/Environmental Education,Environment, Natural Resource Management (NRM), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Research methodology. She patronizes a women group which works on awareness raising and sustainable development education/campaigns. She is a member of the Senate SBKW University, Editorial Board SBKW University, and the Academic Council.

Ms. Batool is a Ph.D. scholar (Commonwealth UK scholarship) and holds an M. Phil in Natural Resource Management/ Ecofeminism, and an M.Sc. in Botany. Ms. Batool has read research papers in many National and International conferences and is the author of 6 international scientific research publications in impact factor journals and participated in environmental (Climate Change) training programs in the United States of America (USA), and Mexico. She also supervises research on local environmental issues. Furthermore, she is an environmental journalist and regularly writes articles in local English news papers.
