Ms. Qureshi is a development professional. She possesses more than 15 years experience in development consultancy, project/program management, social network, research and capacity building. She is currently pursuing MPhil degree leading to PhD in development studies with special focus on Water rights. She has got MA in Sociology, MBA and LLM.

She is an alumnus of the Wilton Park’s conference (UK) on Reducing Poverty: The Roles of Parliaments, Government and Non-State Actors (2006). She possesses work/travel experiences of UK and Nepal. Her research paper on Gender sensitivities in Disaster Relief was accepted in IDRC 2008, Davos, Switzerland. She worked as principal researcher for Bonded Child labor in Thar Carpet Industry with PILER- Anti Slavery International. She has written several research reports, proposals and contributed articles to the local newspapers on development issues.

She has addressed gender issues of different areas of Pakistan including earthquake areas, where she worked as gender specialist to assess the situation after 1 year of earthquake in Saran valley and Balakot, Mansehra. She has worked as social researcher throughout Sindh including Thar and Nara desert, Kohistan and coastal belt.

She has also strived for good governance and democracy in Pakistan. Recently she has rendered her services as Provincial Coordinator Sindh for Democracy Reporting International (DRI) to work with parliamentarians and civil society regarding Local Bodies Elections. In current elections 2013, she worked as lead trainer by Election Commission of Pakistan with the support of IFES to train master trainers regarding electoral process. In 2008 elections, she worked with UNDP as Provincial Coordinator for Sindh to conduct the trainings of polling staff. Afterwards, she has worked with Free and Fair Election Network ( FAFEN) in 2009 to train the staff for Democratic Governance Program and strengthening transparency and accountability in public sector. She has participated in the social awareness campaign and practically worked for the right of having CNICs, birth registration certificates and names registered in elector roll. She has also rendered her services to train the women councilors and local leaders of Benazir Income Support Program with ACT International and Aurat Foundation. She has worked on training manuals for good governance, advocacy, lobbying, women rights, Human rights, Right to Information and Gender mainstreaming.  Ms. Qureshi is the certified mater trainer of International Finance Corporation (IFC).  She has ample experience to organize and impart trainings, develop or customize training material and also conduct Training Need Assessment.
