Mukesh is Management and Trade Consultant having expertise in the economic development for micro and SMEs enterprises, Women Entrepreneurship, Rural enterprises Development, Agro-Processing Industries and International Trade. Mukesh is working as Manager, Sindh with SMEDA Karachi where he is responsible for SMEs development Projects, sector development, cluster development initiatives and training programs in Sindh region. He is also a trainer and he has conducted trainings in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Business Planning and Small Business Management. He is also focal person for Tameer (A joint program of SMEDA & SHELL) which supports young people entrepreneurship.

Mukesh has also worked in Lahore for one and half years with SMEDA where he initiated “Cluster Development Program for SMEs” in collaboration with UNIDO. Under this program, diagnostic studies were conducted in more than 20 clusters in Punjab and Sindh and SMEs development projects were implemented. He He has also facilitated many entrepreneurs in starting their businesses by preparing business plans and helping them getting finance from banks. He has been involved in SMEs financing schemes for SMEs sectors in Sindh and Punjab.

Mukesh has done graduation in engineering from NED University Karachi, MBA from IBA Karachi and MS in Management Science from SZABIST Karachi. Mukesh has attended training programs in USA, UK, Switzerland, Singapore, Korea, India and Australia in the fields of SMEs development, International Trade, cluster development and Entrepreneurship. He was selected by USA State Department for International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). He has also won Australian Endeavor Executive Award and Charles Wallace Fellowship.

He has also written research reports on “Venture Capital industry in Pakistan: Issues and Challenges”, “Comparison between SMEs support system in Australia and Pakistan”, “Issues and Challenges for Potential Women Entrepreneurs in Pakistan”, “Impact Assessment of Women Entrepreneurship Training".
