Mr. Shahid is presently working as General Manager at AA Spinning Mills ltd. Faisalabad. Prior to this he worked as Assit. Vice president at Tata Group’s (Island Textile Mills ltd. Kotri) & Crescent Textile Mills Faisalabad, where his duties include: product planning and management; heading the balancing, modernization, and replacement plans (BMR) of spinning units; and future projects. His efforts in the BMR projects have led to improved environment and productivity in many sections of the mills. His experience in the textile industry to date comprises of administration, project planning, machinery selection and installation. He received his training and initial experience in Kohi Noor, Crescent and Ibrahim Textile Mills. In 1992 he was selected as best student of the year from Pakistan by Rieter Spinning Systems of Switzerland, a leading textile machinery manufacturer of Europe. Having participated in a number of technical courses, Mr Shahid has also worked on the documentation, implementation, and certification of ISO 9001 quality management systems as well as ISO 14001 at Crescent and he is an internal auditor of ISO quality systems. He has successfully completed the six sigma expert (Black belt) training and has been nominated as master black belt in his company. Mr. Shahid feels that LEAD is a platform for him to broaden his knowledge. He also thinks that the LEAD training will further strengthen his communication and interpersonal skills and give him an opportunity to share his experiences with others. Mr. Shahid earned his MBA degree from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He has done BSc. (Hons) in Textile Engineering from National College Of Textile Engineering Faisalabad (U.E.T. Lahore).
