M?uhammad?  Irshad Ramay did his M.S in Environmental Engineering and Management from Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok-Thailand, B.Sc in Chemical Engineering? with specialisation petroleum and gas ?from Punjab University Lahore. He started his professional career from Pakistan Refinery Limited as a Process Engineer in year 1990 and then served in Hoechst Chemicals as Assistant Manager Production and Attock Refinery Limited a?s ?Deputy  ?Manager in Technical Services. He has a wide range of experience in the field of Environment,E?co- Innovation, ?Energy Auditing, Occupational Health and Safety, Waste Management, Process Engineering, troubleshooting of Process ?Industries ?and Projects Management. Presently he is leading UNIDO ?National Cleaner Production Center, Rawalpindi - Pakistan.? National Cleaner Production Center Foundation (NCPC) aims to introduce and promote Cleaner Production (CP) techniques and processes for Pollution Prevention at source along with integrated waste management. It was established by United Nation Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in 1999 with collaboration of United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), EPA’s, Ministry of Climate Change (MOCC) and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources (MNPR).   NCPC is also Member of Global Network for Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production RECPnet (UNEP & UNIDO).

NCPC is working as a non-profit organization with the ultimate aim to improve the environmental conditions which in turn contributes to the welfare of community. This initiative is the first of its kind in Pakistan with the aim of introducing Cleaner Production Technologies and Cleaner Products.

Cleaner Production (CP) provides an integrated preventive environmental strategy to processes and products in order to reduce risks to human and the environment. Through the CP program, NCPC is bridging the gap between competitive industrial production and environmental concerns.
